Annual Haer Weinie Roast and Easter Egg Hunt

This year for Easter we were able to be home for the Annual weinie roast and egg hunt. We start off roasting hot dogs over a bon fire..{you have to watch out though, we had 4 dogs and dogs like hot dogs..go figure}
After hot dogs, chips and potato salad, we roasted marshmellows and ate smores...{ i think i ate like 5} Jobethy brought some reese's pbcups and kitkats to use instead of regular chocolate hershey bars. THAT was yummy!   After we ate the kids played some games and then while the fathers took all the kids for a ride, the mothers stayed back and hid eggs. Great Grandma Haer has a fun tradtion of putting gold coins in a gold egg. The kids LOVE looking for that golden egg. What a special treat.  THANKS Great Gma Haer.

Jacob couldn't handle more than two marshmellow bunnies, right after this shot he started gagging and almost barfed.

Evan was one of the winners. You had to say "chubby bunny" once you had your marshmellows in your mouth. love the green foam coming out of his mouth. he won a trophy full of candy!

for the race you had to run down and touch Gpa Haer's hand and then run back. Sometimes Gpa wouldn't let them slap his hand. so they'd be jumping all around trying to get his hand.

and then I think you were suppose to squat too when you got to Gpa's hand.

Sadie had to play along as well...no child left behind, right?
