This last week we had the opportunity to attend a funeral for Ben's Grandma. It was a special time for us and we really enjoyed being able to spend time with family. The kids had a blast with cousins and we really appreciate Aunt Erins hospitality! We just happened to also squeeze in some poker time at the end of our trip, which was a great highlight. That's one thing I personally will love about Ben's family...game time! it's always a blast. oh and I just happened to eat lots of yummy frozen yogurt and frozen custard too! that was a highlight for me! And we just happened to be in town too for my brother Tim's graduation from college. We're so proud of him! We spent time with Grandma and Grandpa Haer and Aunt Jobeth, Uncle Kyle and Aunt Megan and of course Chemo the dog too! it was definitely a great trip.
Grandma Zahller. She was born on June 1, 1920. At an early age she joined the Army as part of the Women's Army Corps. She served in the European Theater during the World War II as a Radar Tech, and later served as a secretary to a Colonel. After serving she attended the University of Colorado and earned a BA in English with a minor in Speech Therapy. She worked professionally as a Speech and Hearing Therapist and Learning Disabilities teacher.
She was a remarkable genealogist, author and teacher. She joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in May of 1964 and has passed on that legacy through her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter and son, 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
