The Parade

our kids went to their first parade this last weekend. { i know, pretty pathetic } apparently in our town this is a huge deal! never knew....the kids had fun. i had fun. best part for me was when Ben got put on the spot by the War Veterans. Ben was wearing a gray and white stripped shirt and so were they. {they were driving a paddy wagon and were dressed as jailpeople} One of the men came walking out on the street towards Ben, stood by Ben and yelled to the driver..."we've got an impostor!" The driver yells back " well.. we don't put 'em in jail, we just shoot 'em" I couldn't stop laughing. Mainly because we all know how much Ben loves being put on the spot! it was great...

the kids got soooo much candy thrown at them. by the end we were ready to throw candy back at them. it was crazy how much candy they got! it would of been nice if it was all chocolate!
