It's my Birthday!

Today I turn 32. Here are 32 things you might or might not know about me: 1. I am still short. 2. I love going for walks. 3. I love pizza, with root beer. {I think everyone knows this} 4. In college, I delivered mail to different departments on campus. loved it. especially when everyone looked at me when I was pushing a huge crate full of mail. 5. I love Elvis. 6. I was the Vice President of my HighSchool. 7. I was a cheerleader. {hated it, but did it anyways} 8. I love to dance. 9. Ice Cream is my middle name. 10. I have 4 brothers and 4 sisters. 11. I hate cats. 12. I've always wanted a horse. I WILL GET ONE, one of these days. 13. My favorite movies growing up were, "the adventures of natty gann"and "wild hearts can't be broken" 14. I enjoy making things. I have desires to create, just don't have the time or resources. 15. I love having a special treat just for me after the kids go to bed. sometimes I share. 16. I highly enjoy hanging out with my friends. I crave it. 17. I get to go see WICKED this december! 18. I have a hard time spending money on myself. I'd rather buy my kids stuff. 19. Baby number four is going to be a girl!! 20. This isn't as easy as I thought it would be. 21. I lettered in Golf in Highschool and went to State my Junior year. 22. I love being a mom. 23. I enjoy being on the water or by the water. 24. I always make my birthday cake. Not because ben doesn't want too, but because I want to make sure it turns out and that it's good. 25. I celebrate my birthday all week long. 26. I love eating cereal. 27. I was bit by a dog when I was little. 28. Panera has to be one of my favorite places to be these days. 29. I always want to go vacation. 30. I'm obsessed with jeans. For some it's shoes, me it's jeans. I have toooo many , but need them all. 31. I love to laugh. 32. I celebrate,{ well use too}, my birthday with Michael Jackson. {i know, you're jealous and your'e thinking, no fair!}

School

This last week the boys started school. Jacob started 2nd grade and Evan Kindergarten. It has been an exciting and tiring week. Jacob did awesome! No tears. Last year if you remember, he struggled BIG TIME! with going to a new school. {we wont mention me} I have definitely seen a huge change in him. He has learned to be strong in scary situations. We are very proud of him. Evan on the other hand, didn't want to go. When he was getting dressed the first day he looked at me and said: " but mom, I'm not ready to grow up!" My first thought was, "I'm not ready for you to grow up either!" I have learned that you just can't think about it too much. If you do, then you turn into a big mess. I felt strongly that he would love it and soon as it figured out what was going on. Sure enough, all week he was up and ready to go. A huge plus is his ride home on the bus. Since the school is right in our neighborhood they don't bus the kids, except for the kindergartners, lucky dogs. So he gets to ride the bus home. His smiling face is always looking out the window when he gets dropped off. It's nice to have the first week of school over.

I was able to ride on the bus for his first day. He loved every minute of it. I think he finally felt like a big kid.

Today Elvis has been dead for 32 years. I am holding a candlelight ceremony in his honor tonight at 10 pm. All are welcomed.

She did what?

The other morning, our sweet little girl wacked our number two son with a Hot Wheels race track. What? You're surprised? Yah, not very nice of her. After the crying was gone and he stopped covering his face he ran to the mirror in the bathroom and looked at the damage. He came running back out and said.."hey now I look like Anakin!" {tried to find something bigger but couldn't. For those who don't know Anakin, he's the younger Darth Vader in the Star Wars series} ...can't you see the resemblance?
